Maremmano Handmade Italian Pocket Knife with Ox Horn Tip
This Maremmano knife with hand carved ox horn tip handle represents the traditional knife of the Maremma region, located on the seaside in Tuscany on Italy's Western coast about 120 miles above Rome and the same distance from Florence. Ox horn polished to a beautiful sleek finish is a prized material which has been used in Italian artisanal knives for many centuries.
The sleek curve of the Maremma's body is elegant and subtle and the handle's curves allow the Maremma's satin finish AISI 440 stainless steel blade to flow seamlessly from the body of the knife. Viper's version of the Maremmano is the artistic interpretation of Italy's Master Knifemaker Fabrizio Silvestrelli. Fabrizio's elegant but practical design allows for safe and precise handling without bulk and heaviness.
Note: This product is made of natural ox horn and colors vary significantly with each knife, from cream colored and yellow tinted tones through brownish and gray black tones.. The knife you receive may have a different color than the photos.
